BUSINESS HOURS

Monday-Saturday: 8AM-7PM (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)

I am excited to share an update regarding the health insurance plans I currently accept, along with information about additional networks in progress and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims.

As I continue expanding access to medical massage therapy, my goal is to make it as simple as possible for clients to use their insurance benefits when eligible.

✅ Currently Credentialed and Accepting

I am officially credentialed and currently accepting the following insurance plans:

  • Premera Blue Cross
  • Regence BlueShield
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Aetna
  • TriWest Healthcare Alliance (serving our nation’s Veterans)
  • Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I claims)
  • AmBetter

What This Means for You

If you plan to use your insurance benefits for medical massage therapy, it is important to verify your individual plan details prior to your appointment. Please confirm the following with your insurance provider:

  • Whether massage therapy is a covered benefit under your plan
  • Whether a referral or prescription from your provider is required
  • Your copay, coinsurance, or deductible responsibilities
  • Any visit limits or authorization requirements

Insurance benefits vary greatly between plans, even within the same insurance company.

For your first appointment using insurance, please bring:

  • Your insurance card
  • A valid photo ID
  • Your prescription or referral, if your plan requires one

I bill these plans directly for eligible clients.

Most insurance companies will only cover 60 minutes of massage per session, even though some policies may indicate otherwise. Due to this, I have made it a policy to bill insurance for 60 minutes per visit only.

For clients who would like additional time, I offer an optional 30-minute add-on for $35. This additional time is not billed to insurance and is paid out of pocket, in addition to any copay, at the time of service. It allows for more focused, therapeutic work and extra time to address specific areas of tension.

Insurance Booking Instructions:
When booking a massage online through one of these insurance providers, you must first verify your massage therapy benefits. Your copay/coinsurance is due at the time of service. Please be sure to schedule your appointment under “Medical Massage – (your insurance company)” when booking.

If you would like the optional 30-minute out-of-pocket add-on, you may select it when booking your appointment online. If you prefer to keep your session at the standard 60 minutes (fully billed to insurance), simply click “Skip This” when prompted.

After booking, you will receive an email confirmation of your appointment. You will also receive two separate emails, each containing a required form that must be completed prior to your first visit.

🚗 PIP Claims and Superbills

For clients receiving care following a motor vehicle accident, I provide detailed superbills that may be submitted to your auto insurance carrier for reimbursement under Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage when applicable.

If you are working with an attorney or insurance adjuster, I am happy to provide the necessary documentation to support your claim.

Thank you for supporting Amend Massage Therapy as I continue expanding access to care in our community. If you have questions about your coverage, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
