New Insurance Updates at Amend Massage Therapy!
I am excited to share an update regarding the health insurance plans I currently accept — along with additional networks …
Monday-Saturday: 8AM-7PM (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)
I’m Jamie Matson, a licensed massage therapist in Yakima, WA, with a deep passion for helping people feel better in their bodies and more at ease in their lives. I began practicing massage therapy in Yakima in 2012, starting my career at a local downtown spa before opening Amend Massage Therapy in 2013. From the very beginning, my goal has been to create a space where clients feel genuinely cared for, heard, and supported in their healing.
For a period of time during my son’s grade school years, I stepped away from full-time practice to be more present during that important season of life. It was a meaningful chapter that strengthened my appreciation for balance, family, and the value of caring for ourselves well.
In September 2025, I opened the doors to my new location at 102 N 56th Avenue, Suite A, a space thoughtfully designed to feel calm, welcoming, and restorative. I’m grateful to continue serving this community, offering therapeutic and medical massage tailored to each individual’s needs.
Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, recovering from injury, or simply needing time to reset, it’s an honor to be part of your wellness journey. Providing personalized, intentional care isn’t just my profession — it’s work I truly love.
At Amend Massage Therapy, I specialize in customized massage sessions focused on pain relief, stress reduction, and whole-body wellness. I offer medical massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, and relaxation massage. Each session thoughtfully tailored to your individual needs. Whether you’re managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, experiencing muscle tension from work or daily activities, or simply seeking a calming massage in Yakima, my goal is to support healing and long-lasting relief.
My approach is client-centered and results-driven. I work closely with clients experiencing neck, shoulder, and back pain, mobility limitations, and stress-related discomfort, while also creating a peaceful, supportive environment for deep relaxation. I want every client to feel heard, comfortable, and renewed when they leave.
Insurance & Billing
I directly bill Premera, Regence and L&I. I also accept PIP (Personal Injury Protection) for motor vehicle accident–related injuries. For PIP claims, payment is due at the time of service, and I will provide a detailed superbill for you to submit directly to your auto insurance for reimbursement. I am currently in the process of becoming an in-network provider with the VA and a few others. I will share updates as those contracts are finalized.
Outside of the treatment room, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, and our dogs who bring so much joy and balance to our lives. That same sense of balance carries into my work; grounded, compassionate, and focused on your health and well-being.
If you’re looking for a trusted massage therapist in Yakima for medical massage, therapeutic bodywork, or relaxation massage I would be honored to be part of your wellness journey.

Q: Google Street View doesn’t show your building and the directions seem confusing. How do I find your office?
A: Great question! You’re not alone—Google Maps is currently giving incorrect directions, and I’ve been working with them to get this fixed. In the meantime, here’s the best way to find me:
My office is located at 102 N 56th Avenue. If you’re traveling west on Summitview, turn left at the light onto 56th Avenue. You’ll see a brick building on the right, just after you pass Summit Thrift. The building also houses Advanced Vocational Services and Villbrandt & Co.
There is parking available in both the front and rear of the building. I am located in Suite A.
Front entrance: Walk down the corridor toward the back of the building. My office is on the left, just before the rear door.
Rear entrance: My office is the first door on the right.
If you have any trouble finding it, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to help guide you in.
Q: What types of massage do you offer at Amend Massage Therapy?
A: At Amend Massage Therapy, I offer a range of therapeutic experiences: Swedish for gentle relaxation, deep tissue for those stubborn knots, pregnancy massage for expecting mothers, soothing hot stone sessions, and carefully tailored medical massage. Each session is customized to help you feel restored, rejuvenated, and truly cared for.
Q: Are you able to accept my insurance?
A: I am credentialed with Premera and L&I, and I’m in the process of joining Regence as well. If you have insurance through these providers, I’m happy to verify your benefits and handle the billing so you can focus on healing and self-care.
Q: Can I request a pregnancy massage?
A: Yes! I offer specialized pregnancy massages designed for comfort after week 13 of pregnancy. My studio is equipped with supportive bolsters and nurturing techniques to ease tension, improve circulation, and help you feel at ease during this special time.
Q: What’s the ambiance like at your studio?
A: My studio is a peaceful haven—soft lighting, tranquil music, and calming aromatherapy greet you upon arrival. I’ve created a cozy, private space where you can let the world melt away and focus entirely on your well-being.
Q: Will you tailor the massage to my specific needs?
A: Yes! Each massage is as unique as you are. Before your session, I’ll talk with you to understand your goals, preferences, and any areas needing special attention. Together, we’ll create a personalized experience to help you feel your very best.
Q: What weight can your massage table safely support?
A: My massage table is wider and longer than the average table and was intentionally chosen to comfortably support a wide range of bodies. It is professionally rated to safely support up to 550 lbs, offering stability, comfort, and peace of mind so you can fully relax and enjoy your session.
Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: You can easily book your massage online or reach out directly by phone. I’m here to answer any questions and help you schedule a time that fits your busy life.
Q: What should I expect during my first visit?
A: After your session is booked, you’ll receive an intake form by email (two forms if you’re scheduled for medical massage). These forms need to be completed before your appointment. If you’re unable to complete them ahead of time, please plan to arrive a few minutes early to do so. Please note that arriving late or without completed forms may shorten your session if my schedule is full, though the full session fee would still apply.
Once your intake forms are on file, they will be good for the year.
At your first appointment, we’ll take a few minutes to review your health history, discuss your wellness goals, and address any questions or concerns you may have.
My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, informed, and relaxed throughout the entire experience. .
Q: Are hot stone massages available year-round?
A: Yes, hot stone massages are a year-round offering at Amend Massage Therapy. The warmth of the stones is deeply relaxing and helps melt away tension, making it a perfect addition to your self-care routine no matter the season. Just make sure to book the hot stone massage so, that I can have them prepped and ready for you.
Q: What makes Amend Massage Therapy different?
A: As a solo practitioner, I invest my heart and hands into every session, ensuring each client is met with warmth and intention. Your wellness matters deeply to me, and I hope each visit leaves you feeling lighter, brighter, and truly cared for on your journey to health.
Q: What is your most popular service?
A: The 90-minute massage is a client favorite for good reason. This session gives you the perfect balance of relaxation and focused therapeutic work. With extra time, I can address areas of tension in depth while still allowing your whole body to fully unwind.
Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: I do occasionally run promotions! The easiest way to check is to click the BOOK NOW icon on my website and if there is a deal going on it would be posted there. You can also follow my Facebook page to see any new updates there.
